A star so bright
A treasure of the night
Fixed in its independence
It glowed so free
Claiming its place
in the beautiful dark sky
And it shined so serenely

as if to bestow kindness upon the world
In the pure radiance of its light my heart melted
And the humans enchanted by so enigmatic a force
find the greatest of gifts bequeathed to the universe

Boundless in compassion
Graced with the wisdom of creation
This star is for the soul’s companion
A great friend of the heart
O joy that lies in wait
